Gonzaga Bulldogs (21-5) vs. Loyola Marymount Lions (17-10)

The college hoops betting action goes on Thursday, February 16, with the Gonzaga Bulldogs facing off against the Loyola Marymount Lions in the West Coast Conference showdown at Gersten Pavilion in Los Angeles, California.

These two schools meet for the second time in 2022-23, and Loyola Marymount stunned Gonzaga 68-67 as a 16-point road underdog in their first clash of the season on January 19. The Lions are 7.5-point home dogs this time around, while the totals are listed at 156.0 points.

After a heartbreaking 78-70 overtime loss at Saint Mary’s, the Gonzaga Bulldogs (21-5; 9-16 ATS; 10-2 conf.) have won two straight contests, outlasting San Francisco 99-81 and BYU 88-81 at home. The Zags dominated the Dons for all 40 minutes, but the clash against the Cougars was way more difficult.

Gonzaga dropped 54 second-half points on BYU to overcome a six-point deficit, but the Zags failed to cover a 13-point spread. The Bulldogs made 50.9% of their field goals and 26 of their 34 free-throw attempts while posting a solid 16/9 assist-to-turnover ratio. Junior guard Julian Strawther led Gonzaga with 26 points and five rebounds, and Drew Timme added a line of 19 points, eight assists, and seven rebounds.

The Bulldogs are second in the West Coast Conference, one game behind Saint Mary’s. Gonzaga scores 87.7 points per game in the conference play (1st) while shooting 58.6% from inside the arc (also 1st) and 38.6% from downtown (2nd). They allow 76.9 points in return (4th) on 52.1% shooting from inside the arc (5th) and 37.7% from deep (6th). Gonzaga is No. 12 in the NCAA NET Rankings and No. 15 in the KenPom rankings.
