The Zags dominated the Dons for all 40 minutes, but the clash against the Cougars was way more difficult.
Gonzaga dropped 54 second-half points on BYU to overcome a six-point deficit, but the Zags failed to cover a 13-point spread. The Bulldogs made 50.9% of their field goals and 26 of their 34 free-throw attempts while posting a solid 16/9 assist-to-turnover ratio. Junior guard Julian Strawther led Gonzaga with 26 points and five rebounds, and Drew Timme added a line of 19 points, eight assists, and seven rebounds.

The Bulldogs are second in the West Coast Conference, one game behind Saint Mary’s. Gonzaga scores 87.7 points per game in the conference play (1st) while shooting 58.6% from inside the arc (also 1st) and 38.6% from downtown (2nd).
