Golden State Warriors vs. Dallas Mavericks Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 3-22-2023

Two teams jockeying for playoff position will do battle on Wednesday night in Dallas as the Golden State Warriors meet the Dallas Mavericks. The two teams are battling for the sixth and seventh seeds in the Western Conference and the Warriors currently hold a 1/2 game lead with a game in hand. The opening tap for this critical showdown is scheduled for 7:30 PM EST.

The Golden State Warriors have struggled on the road all season but did finally end a road losing streak of 11 games with a win at Houston on Monday night. The win pushed the defending champs over .500 at 37-36 despite just an 8-29 record on the road. After struggling in their previous game on the road against Memphis, the Splash Brothers Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson came through with a combined 59 points. The duo combined to shoot 21-of-44 from the field and hit 10 3pt field goals in the win. Kevon Looney returned to the lineup and added a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds. The Warriors outscored Houston 37-28 in the 4th quarter in the 121-108 victory.

The Warriors remain without one of the key pieces of last year's title run as Andrew Wiggins remains out with a personal issue. The team is second in the NBA in scoring this season but just 13th in field goal percentage. The Warriors are, however, 3rd in the NBA in 3pt shooting. Golden State is just 25th in the league in scoring defense. The Warriors are 13th in opponent's field goal percentage and 20th in 3pt defense. The team is 12th in total rebounding on the season. The Warriors are 29th in the league in turnovers per game and 13th in turnovers forced per contest.
