Giants 2022 NFL futures odds, trends: Bettors backing New York to surprise in NFC East, also leaning over win total

It's a make-or-break season for New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones,'who was clearly a major reach by a previous front office at No. 6 in the 2019 NFL Draft. The new Giants front office did not exercise the fifth-year option on Jones' rookie contract back in May. Jones is an ugly 12-25 as an NFL starter, yet bettors are Caesars Sportsbook are relatively optimistic about the Giants' 2022 futures – especially to surprise in the NFC East.

New York hasn't won a divi sion title since 2011 – every other East team has won the division multiple times since then – and has the longest odds to do so at +800 at Caesars. However, Big Blue is second in tickets sold to win the East at 24 percent and in money wagered at 16 percent. The Giants are ahead of the favored Cowboys (+115) in both categories, as Dallas has gotten 18 percent of the tickets and 15 percent of the money.

The Giants' over/under win total sits at 7, with the Under favored at -125. The majority of Caesars Sportsbook bettors are backing New York to win at least eight games, as the Over is taking 72 percent of the money and 57 percent of the tickets.

Perhaps finally having a quality head coach for once will finally bring out the best in Jones. Former Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll was in demand around the league, but he went to New York to serve under former Bills executive Joe Schoen, who took over as the Giants' new general manager.
