A pair of SEC teams looking to gain some momentum as the regular season hits the home stretch do battle in the Razorback State. The Georgia Bulldogs are on the road as they make the trip to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks Saturday evening. Georgia was downed 75-62 on the road by Mississippi State in their previous contest Wednesday night, failing to cover the line as an 8.5-point underdog. Arkansas was hammered 95-74 on the road by LSU in their previous game last Saturday, failing to cover the line as a five-point underdog. In the all-time series between the teams, the Razorbacks own a 26-17 advantage but it was Georgia picking up a 76-66 home win in the first meeting this season on January 10.

Georgia lost their fourth straight game and their fifth in the last six games as they were taken down by Mississippi State Wednesday night. The Bulldogs fell to 14-9 overall and stand 4-6 in the SEC, leaving them tied for 10th in the conference standings. Against Mississippi State, Georgia trailed 8-3 early and never got even the rest of the way. The Bulldogs trailed by eight at the half and managed to close to within three with 6:21 remaining only to give up an 8-0 run to go down 11, sealing their fate. Georgia shot 35.1% from the floor, including 12 of 33 from three-point range, and lost the rebounding battle 43-33 in the game. Noah Thomasson led the Bulldogs with 20 points in a losing effort.

The Bulldogs are averaging 75.9 points per game this season, putting them 132nd in the nation in scoring offense. Georgia is above average on the glass this season as they collect 36.4 boards a night while dishing out 12.2 assists per contest. The Bulldogs are below average on the defensive end of the floor as they are 237th in scoring defense by allowing 73.7 points per game. Jabri Abdur-Rahim leads the Bulldogs and is one of three players averaging in double figures with 13.2 points per game. Noah Thomasson (12.3 points), RJ Melendez (10.7 points, 4.5 boards) and Justin Hill are solid secondary scoring options. Silas Demary Jr., Blue Cain, Russel Tchewa, Jalen DeLoach, Frank Anselem-Ibe, RJ Sunahara and Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe are key pieces for the Bulldogs’ rotation. Georgia shoots 42.9% from the field this season. The Bulldogs average 8.4 triples a night on 35.2% shooting from beyond the arc.
