Flurry Of NFL Trade Deadline Deals Cause Sportsbooks To Yawn

Trade deadline day in the NFL came and went Tuesday, and with it … not a lot of movement for mobile sportsbooks in the Super Bowl odds market.

Let's do a quick rundown of the moves — both players and odds. (All odds are from DraftKings.)

Seattle Seahawks: They got the party started Monday when they traded for Giants defensive lineman Leonard Williams to shore up an already — and somewhat surprisingly — stout defense. They sent a 2024 second-rounder and 2025 fifth-rounder for Williams, and as a result their Super Bowl odds went from +3500 to … +3500.

Chicago Bears: The 2-6 Bears were not expected to be buyers at the deadline, but that's exactly what they became by acquiring Washington Commanders star pass rusher Montez Sweat for a second-round pick. The Bears’ Super Bowl odds remained steady at “not gonna happen” (that's 400-to-1 for those scoring at home).
