Florida Panthers vs. Philadelphia Flyers Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 3-21-2023

The Florida Panthers (35-27-6-1, 28-41 PL, 37-26 O/U) battle the Philadelphia Flyers (25-32-11-1, 43-26 PL, 33-33 O/U) in an Eastern Conference bout on Tuesday evening. The Panthers beat the Devils on Saturday and are in Detroit on Monday. The Flyers were dealt a home loss by the Hurricanes on Saturday. The season series is 1-1.

The Florida Panthers continue to battle for the last playoff spot. They are only one point out of the last Wildcard spot entering Monday night. Matthew Tkachuk continues to dominate, collecting eight points in his last three games. The 25-year-old star scored in Saturday’s victory and now has 32 goals and 92 points on the year. He has three assists against the Flyers this season. Carter Verhaeghe has been outstanding, netting eight points in eight games played this month. The 27-year-old winger has recorded a season total of 61 points. Aleksander Barkov is also co nsistently producing, accruing eight assists this month. The veteran center has three points against Philly this season and 60 points on the year. 

The Panthers continue to start Sergei Bobrovsky in almost every game. The veteran netminder is having a subpar year, registering a 3.00 GAA and a .904 save % accompanied by a 23-17-3 record. Backup Spencer Knight is on the IR.  Florida is scoring an average of 3.5 goals per game, marking them sixth. They are conceding an average of 3.4 goals, placing them 23rd in the NHL.
