Florida Panthers vs. Edmonton Oilers Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 11-28-2022

Florida Panthers (10-8-3) vs. Edmonton Oilers (11-10-0)

The 2022-23 NHL betting action continues Monday with this interconference battle when the Florida Panthers travel to take on the Edmonton Oilers at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta.

This is the first of a five-game road trip for the Florida Panthers. The team lost to St. Louis in overtime on Saturday, 5-4. Edmonton is returning home from a three-game road trip that saw the club drop two of the three contests, but did defeat the Rangers on Saturday, 4-3. These teams met in Florida on November 12 with the Oilers winning, 4-2.

The Florida Panthers (10-8-3, 6-15 ATS) jumped out to a 3-0 lead over the St. Louis Blues, only to see St. Louis battle back and win the game in overtime. Florida held a two-goal advantage with a little under seven minutes left in the contest, but gave up two goals in the span of 2:28 before losing in the extra frame.

“I thought we did a very good job in the first two and in the third we made errors that are not usual for us, and it cost us,” Florida defenseman Rakdo Gudas said. “The biggest thing is to learn from it and forget it, remember the mistake and forget about the loss. It is going to happen. We can't always be the team that comes back. Sometimes that is going to bite you.”

Sam Reinhart and Gustav Forsling each had two assists in the loss. Forsling has six assists over his last five games. Spencer Knight stopped 32 shots. After an impressive campaign last season, the team is struggling between the pipes, 20th in goals allowed per game (3.33). Sergei Bobrovsky is having a disappointing season, going 4-5-1 with a 3.62 GAA and 8.888 save percentage.
