The 25th-ranked Florida Atlantic Owls will travel to the Murphy Center on Thursday evening in a Conference USA matchup to take on the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders. The Owls are a dominant 24-2 (14-1) so far this season and are riding a three-game winning streak after coming off a 90-85 overtime home win against the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs on Saturday. The Blue Raiders are an average team with a 15-11 (8-7) record and are on a two-game losing streak after coming off a 92-69 road loss against the UAB Blazers on Saturday. These teams played against each other back on Jan. 26 with the Owls picking up an 85-67 home win.

The Florida Atlantic Owls are coming off a solid 90-85 overtime home win over the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs and it definitely helps when they only give up nine points in the overtime period. They did as well shooting the ball at a high level as they finished shooting 46 percent throughout the game, 40 percent from beyond the arc, and 25 free-throw shots. Sophomore guard Alijah Martin led the FAU Owls as in 32 minutes he finished with 26 points, four rebounds, and three turnovers. Defensively, they did an okay at best job as they allowed the Bulldogs to finish shooting 51.7 percent from the floor, 37.9 percent from three, and 15 free-throw attempts. The Owls were able to record eight steals and two blocks throughout the course of the game.

The Florida Atlantic Owls have been a great offensive team with 78 points per game, which is 45th in the country, while also dishing out 15 assists per game. They’ve been doing a solid job as they are shooting 46.6 percent from the field so far. On the defensive side of things, they are 61st in the nation with 65.5 points per game as well. They recorded 2.3 blocks and 6.8 steals per game this season to try to improve on that side of things.
