The Florida A&M Rattlers and Kentucky Wildcats face off on Wednesday in a college basketball showdown at Rupp Arena. This is the first meeting played between the two teams this season.
Florida A&M comes into this game with a 2-7 record overall and they have gone 4-3 against the spread. In the last game against Louisville they were competitive, but only scored 55 points, and that led to the six point defeat. Two games ago against Edward Waters they were able to secure the 58-47 victory. Florida A&M is averaging 54.9 points while their defense is giving up 73.4 points per game. The offense is ranked 362nd in college basketball, and they will need to be better here scoring. Jordan Tillmon has been the top player for Florida A&M averaging 10 points while shooting 32.7 percent from the field.
On the other side of this matchup is Kentucky who sits with a 7-3 record and they have gone 4-6 against the spread. In the last game against UCLA, Kentucky only scored 53 points and they ended up losing by ten points. Two games ago against Yale they were able to secure the 69-59 victory. Kentucky is averaging 77.8 points while their defense is giving up 64 points per game. This is one of the better teams in the country, but they have a lot more improvement that needs to happen if they want to compete in March.
