NHL best bets and expert picks
It’s been a long three days without NHL hockey to talk about, but I hope that everyone reading this had a wonderful Christmas filled with family and friends.
Last night was a beautiful 2-0 evening without sweating out any bet. It was the perfect kind of night to come back from break, making me 5-0 in my last five best bets. The vibes are high as we conclude the 2023 calendar year, and with a light Thursday night schedule in the NHL, I don’t want to overcomplicate anything.
I’m only going to focus on one game between two teams that didn’t play last night, the Philadelphia Flyers and the Vancouver Canucks.
Philadelphia at Vancouver (-162, 6)
The Vancouver Canucks have been the best and most consistent team in the NHL thus far, and it will be interesting to see how the Christmas break affects their momentum. I don’t expect their momentum to stop. The Canucks were 7-1-2 going into the break, but oddly enough, their opponent tonight has the same record in their last 10 games as well.
