One of the few bright spots in 2021 for the Jets was rookie receiver Elijah Moore, who showed promise in eleven games before missing the final five contests with a quad injury. In his final five healthy games, Moore caught 28 passes for 392 yards and five scores. Extrapolate those numbers over a full season and 95 catches for 1300+ yards would put Moore on the fringe of fantasy WR1 territory. Unfortunately that would require QB Zach Wilson to take a giant step forward in 2022 which seems questionable at best.
The Jets also added top ten draft pick Garrett Wilson and surprisingly look to have a competent receiving core also including Corey Davis and free agent signees, tight ends C.J. Uzomah and Tyler Conklin. With Moore likely to play in the slot, a 70+ catch season isn't unrealistic and 1,000 yards should be in play.'
For those Jets optimists, the former Ole Miss receiver might be worthy of a low-end fantasy WR2 play, if not a weekly flex start, especially in PPR leagues. For the rest of the fantasy football world, Moore is a solid WR3 who should be a matchup-based play in PPR and non-PPR formats.
