The Edmonton Oilers saw their franchise record 16-game winning streak come to an end on Tuesday when they lost to the Vegas Golden Knights, 3-1. This contest is the second on the three-game road trip, which concludes in Los Angeles on Saturday. The Oilers are 13-10-0 on the road.

Connor McDavid gave Edmonton a 1-0 lead with his 21st goal of the season 4:35 into the contest, but Vegas responded with three unanswered goals to earn the victory. McDavid now has nine points over his last four games and leads the Oilers with 68 points. Edmonton is sixth in goals per game (3.46) and third on the power-play (26.8%).

Stuart Skinner (23-10-1, 2.43, .910) took the loss despite playing well, stopping 23 shots. Skinner will likely be between the pipes on Friday with Calvin Pickard (5-2-0, 2.34, .915) going against the Kings on Saturday. Skinner has allowed two goals or fewer in 12 straight games. The Oilers are eighth in goals against average (2.76).
