East Tennessee State at LSU – 12/21/22 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The East Tennessee State Buccaneers and LSU Tigers face off on Wednesday in a college basketball showdown at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. When these two teams faced off in 2019 it was ETSU that secured the 74-63 victory. 

ETSU comes into this game with a 4-8 record and they have gone 2-8 against the spread. In the last game against UNC Asheville, they were competitive but ended up losing 74-73. Jamon Battle finished with 21 points and six rebounds. East Tennessee State is averaging 71.3 points while their defense is giving up 68.7 points per game. Guard Jordan King is having a strong season averaging 13.2 points but he is only shooting 33.5 percent from the field. Jaylen Haynes is also having a strong season averaging 13.3 points while shooting 59.8 percent from the field and 25 percent from behind the three-point line. 

On the other side of this matchup is LSU who sits a 10-1 record overall and they have gone 5-6 against the spread. In the last game against Oregon State the offense scored 87 points and that led to the 32 point victory. Forward Angel Reese scored 25 points and added 20 assists. LSU is averaging 73.1 points while their defense is giving up 68.7 points per game. The LSU offense looked really good in the last game, and they are going to need the offense to run up the score again here. KJ Williams is averaging 18.5 points while shooting 55 percent from the field and 48.8 percent from behind the three point line.
