The Drexel Dragons and the NC-Wilmington Seahawks will meet in Washington DC to battle in the quarterfinals of the CAA Championship at the Entertainment & Sports Arena on FloSports.
Drexel is 17-14 after defeating Monmouth in the second round. The Dragons held the Hawks to 19 first half points and they’d cruise to beat them by the same number, 64-45. Drexel is scoring 66.8 points per game, while allowing 62.6 pog, and shooting 43% from the field.
Drexel avenged a narrow loss to Monmouth in the second round, and they’ll look to do the same with NC-Wilmington here. Junior forward Amari Williams double-doubled in the win over Monmouth, and he leads Drexel in scoring (13.6) and rebounding (8.8). Sophomore guard Yame Butler has scored 22 points or more in three of the last four games, and he’s averaging 9.7 ppg.
