The NHL betting action continues on Tuesday, February 13, with this interconference clash when the Detroit Red Wings travel to take on the Edmonton Oilers at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta. The puck drops at 9:00 p.m.

This is the second meeting of the season between these clubs. The Oilers won the first matchup, winning in overtime in Detroit on January 11, 3-2. Edmonton was the favorite in that contest (-166) and they are the favorites here as well (-200).

The Detroit Red Wings closed out their six-game homestand with a 4-3 overtime victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday. The team went 4-1-1 on the homestand, but now head to the road for a four-game road trip beginning in Edmonton on Tuesday. Detroit is 12-10-1 on the road, including going 5-1-0 in their last six away from Detroit. 

Jay Wallman scored on a penalty shot 23 seconds into the extra frame to give the Red Wings the win. Detroit had scored first in this contest, but Vancouver responded with three unanswered goals in the second to take the lead. However, Detroit scored two goals in the final frame to send the contest to overtime. Lucas Raymond scored the first goal of the game and now has seven points over his last five games. The Red Wings are fourth in goals per game (3.49).

Alex Lyon (14-6-2, 2.54, .921) stopped 28 shots to earn victory. He has allowed three or fewer goals in four straight starts, allowing eight total goals in that span. Ville Husso (9-5-2, 3.53, .893) began the season as the starter but is trying to work himself back to being the top goalie. The Red Wings are 21st in goals against average (3.22).
