Air Force will host Delaware in the second game of the season for both teams. These two programs have never faced each other before.
The Delaware Blue Hens went 22-13 last season and won the CAA Tournament. The Blue Hens advanced to the first round of the NCAA Tournament and lost to Villanova 80-60. Coming into this season, Delaware is rated No. 131 by Si.com and is a contender in the CAA, where they are rated as the third-best team.

In the season opener, the Blue Hen beat a non-Division I foe in Wilmington (DE) 78-54 in a tune-up. Jyare Davis, a 6'7 sophomore who averaged 9.7 ppg last season, led Delaware in the opener with 20 points. Jameer Nelson Jr. who averaged 13.6 ppg last season, scored 18 points in the opener against Wilmington
