The Dallas Stars face the St. Louis Blues with both teams off to strong starts to the season. The offense has led the way but the defense has also stepped up, allowing only 2.91 goals per game. Esa Lindell and Colin Miller have combined for 3.1 defensive point shares and 53 blocked shots while Jani Hakanpaa and Miro Heiskanen have combined for 2.1 defensive point shares to give the Stars two great defensive pairings. In addition, goaltender Jake Oettinger has stepped up in the net with a .91 7 save percentage and a 2.52 goals-against average on 424 shots.
