Tim Hardaway Jr. and Kyrie Irving led the way with 17 points each for the Mavs, who shot just 42% from the field. The Dallas defense didn't show up as they gave up 52% shooting allowed allowed Jordan Hawkins to score 25 points off the bench. Hawkins has been good off the bench this season, but he was averaging less than 14 points per game.
Stuff happens. Luka Doncic shot just 5 of 16 from the floor and had just 16 points on Tuesday. The Pels also outscored the Mavs 46-12 on fastbreak points. Dallas had just beat the Pels 136-124 on Nov. 12 on the road. They've won four of their last six games. and three of five on the road. Doncic leads the Mavs with 31.1 points per game on 51.1% shooting from the field and 42.6% from the three-point line. Defense has been an issue as the Mavs allow 118.8 points pe r game on 49.5% shooting (29th) and 36.65% (21st) 3-point shooting.
