Coyotes vs. Predators Odds, Picks, Predictions: Can Arizona Challenge Nashville?iv class=”bodyContent col-lg-9 mb-3″>

The Nashville Predators, trying to climb into a playoff spot, have a crucial home game against the Arizona Coyotes on Monday. Read on for our best Coyotes vs. Predators NHL picks based on the best NHL odds.

Sitting four points behind the Minnesota Wild, with two games in hand, the Nashville Predators are hoping that they can get into a playoff spot. The Preds have won four of their past five games, most recently earning a 2-1 overtime win against Philadelphia on Saturday.

Arizona has had no serious playoff aspirations all season, but they have earned points in five straight games, going 2-0-3.

Can the Coyotes throw a wrench into Nashville's plans to get into the playoff picture?

Here is our best Coyotes vs. Predators NHL pick (odds via DraftKings Sportsbook; pick confidence based on a 1-to -5-star scale).

Coyotes vs. Predators pick

Even for a team that seems to be playing out the string for the entire season, the Coyotes have covered a 1.5-goal spread as underdogs in each of their past six road games.

They are not going to have defenseman Jakob Chychrun in the lineup, as he remains out due to “trade-related reasons.”

Nashville has underachieved, controlling 49.7% of score-and-venue-adjusted expected goals during five-on-five play, which ranks 22nd. The Predators are better than Arizona, which ranks 30th at 42.7%, but neither team is a possession powerhouse.

The Preds have registered five multi-goal victories in 25 home games. Their inability to generate offense prevents them from pulling away, even in the games that they win.

More importantly, the Preds will miss left winger Filip Forsberg, the team's leading goal-scorer, who was injured in Saturday's win at Philadelphia.

Nashville is also going with backup goaltender Kevin Lankinen and while he has been excellent in a limited role this season, Lankinen is still Nashville's second choice in net.

DraftKings FanDuel BetMGM Caesars PointsBet
ARI +1.5 ARI +1.5 ARI +1.5 ARI +1.5 ARI +1.5
-125 ?? -132 -133 ?? -130 -131

There is typically not a huge variance in puck line pricing, but this is enough to prefer DraftKings, which has Arizona at +1.5 (-125). Paying 7-8 cents less than the price offered at FanDuel or BetMGM is an edge that is not to be ignored.

I would take Arizona +1.5 at BetMGM pricing, too, but that is pushing the boundaries on where this pick provides positive expected value.

The total opened at six goals and has remained there, with the injury situations taken into account. The betting public is siding with the Under, as it's getting 55% of the action.
