The UConn Huskies, the defending National Champions, are once again back on top this season and head into this matchup with DePaul. The Huskies lost their Big East opener at Seton Hall this season and have now won 12th straight games including an 89-64 win at Georgetown on Saturday. The Huskies had four players in double-figures on Saturday and were led by Alex Karaban with 25 points in their biggest margin of victory over Georgetown in program history. The team shot over 60% from the floor and built up a 26-point lead in the first half. Stephon Castle added 17 points while Samson Johnson and Cam Spencer both finished with 10 points to round out the double-digit scorers.

UConn hopes to keep their win streak alive on Wednesday night in DePaul against the floundering Blue Demons. UConn is currently in line to earn the top overall seed in the NCAA Tournament if the season were to end today. They'll need to close strong and get deep into the Big East Tournament to earn a #1 seed. UConn comes into this game ranked first in the Big East in scoring offense. They are also first in field goal shooting, first in 3-point field goal shooting and first in 3-point field goals made per game. The Huskies are also tops in the Big East in scoring defense this season. They are fifth in field goal defense and second in 3-point defense.
