Colorado beat up on the Mets Sunday afternoon to earn their sixth win in their last seven games entering Monday’s action. The Rockies entered Monday 14-21 on the season and stand last in the NL West, seven games behind the Dodgers for the top spot in the division. On Sunday, Colorado got three of their 14 hits from Brenton Doyle (three runs, three RBI) to lead the way in the win. Randal Grichuk (his first), Kris Bryant (his fifth) and Doyle (his first) each went deep in the victory for the Rockies. Ryan Feltner didn’t factor in the decision as he threw 3.1 innings, allowing four runs on four hits with six walks and three strikeouts. Brent Suter (1-0) earned the win in relief as he threw 1.2 innings, allowing one run on three hits with no walks and three strikeouts.

Connor Seabold takes the ball for the Rockies as he logs his ninth appearance and second start of the season in this conte st. He comes in with no record, a 5.30 ERA, a 1.50 WHIP, three walks and 14 strikeouts over 18.2 innings of work on the year. Seabold didn’t factor in the decision in his last appearance, which was a start against the Brewers at home Thursday. He threw five innings, allowing three runs on seven hits with no walks and one strikeout in a game the Rockies eventually won 9-6. He threw 2.1 innings, allowing no runs on two hits with no walks or strikeouts in a 14-3 Rockies defeat.
