The offense has been great but the defense has struggled, allowing 3.17 goals per game. While Makar and Toews have combined for 5.9 defensive point shares, the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net with ease. In addition, goaltender Alexandar Georgiev has struggled with a .897 save percentage and a 2.94 goals-against average on 1257 shots with -8.5 goals saved above average.
