FCS teams continue to trickle up to the FBS level. In 2024, it’s Atlanta's Kennesaw State University that will join the highest subdivision inside of Division I, playing a full schedule of FBS opponents as a transitional member of Conference USA.'
Sam Houston and Jacksonville State – also C-USA members – are completing their transition and will be fully eligible FBS members in 2025.'
James Madison is fully eligible for bowl games, conference championships, and the College Football Playoff in 2024.
