Cole Ragans is the Kansas City Royals’ starting pitcher against the Minnesota Twins on Thursday, March 28.
Ragans is making his second career start against the Twins. His first start came with the Texas Rangers in August 2022, when he allowed one run on five hits over four innings.
After being traded from the Rangers to the Royals last year, Ragans became one of the most exciting pitchers in the sport. He posted a 2.64 ERA in 12 starts with Kansas City, striking out 89 batters across 71 2/3 innings.
Ragans enters the 2024 season as a popular AL Cy Young odds dark horse. He can justify the hype with a strong showing against Twins’ ace Pablo Lopez, who finished seventh in AL Cy Young voting last year.
