Coastal Carolina vs. Georgia State odds, tips and betting trends

Sun Belt foes meet when the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers (3-0) and the Georgia State Panthers (0-3) square off on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at Center Parc Stadium.

The Chanticleers squared off against the Buffalo Bulls in their last game, winning 38-26. Last time out, the Panthers lost 42-41 to the Charlotte 49ers. Against the Bulls, Grayson McCall led the Chanticleers with 251 yards on 16-of-24 passing (66.7%) for three touchdowns and no interceptions. CJ Beasley took nine carries for 89 yards (9.9 yards per carry) and one touchdown, while adding three receptions for 74 yards and one touchdown in the passing game. Sam Pinckney had 103 yards on five catches (20.6 per reception) in that game. Darren Grainger’s showing for the Panthers against the 49ers included 22-of-34 passing for 343 yards, four touchdowns and one interception. He rushed nine times for 54 yards. Tucker Gregg carried the ball 23 times for 100 yards (4.3 yards per attempt) with two touchdowns. Jamari Thrash caught 10 passes for 213 yards (21.3 yards per catch), scoring one touchdown.

The Chanticleers are favored (-2) in an expected close matchup with the Panthers. The total is set at 63.5 points.
