Cleveland Cavaliers (12-7) vs. Detroit Pistons (5-16)
The 2022-23 NBA betting action continues Sunday in this Eastern Conference battle when the Cleveland Cavaliers take on the Detroit Pistons at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan.
Cleveland saw their four-game winning streak come to an end when they lost to the Bucks on Friday, 117-102. The Pistons saw their two-game winning streak end with a 108-102 loss to Phoenix on Friday. Cleveland beat Detroit when these teams met on November 4, 112-88.
The Cleveland Cavaliers (12-7, 11-7-1 ATS) found themselves leading by 11 coming out of the first half but saw Milwaukee outscore the Cavaliers by 25 in the third quarter in the Bucks 117-102 victory. The team was outstanding from the free-throw line, hitting 22 of 26 shots but shot just 39.1% from the field. That was surprising as the Cavs have been one of the best shooting teams in the NBA, seventh in field goal percentage (48.2%) and third in three-point shooting (39.6%).
“They turned it up to a level that we haven't seen, that we haven't experienced,” said Donovan Mitchell, who led the Cavaliers with 29 points. “That's playoff basketball, and understanding that they're going to turn up the physicality (and) everything has to be sharper, everything has to be more precise.”
