The Reds’ matchup yesterday versus the Mets resulted in a 10-2 loss. Joey Votto went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI in the defeat, while T.J. Zeuch threw four innings, giving up six earned runs on six hits while striking out four en route to taking the loss.
The Cubs beat the Nationals 4-2 yesterday. Nico Hoerner led the way offensively after going 2-for-4 with a home run and an RBI, and Michael Rucker got the win, throwing one inning without giving up a hit or an earned run.
