The Chicago State Cougars will head up to Milwaukee to meet the Marquette Golden Eagles from the Fiserv Forum on FS2.
Chicago State is 2-5 after losing to Cleveland State on the road Wednesday. Chicago and Cleveland went into the locker room knotted up at 34, but the Vikings would out-score the Cougars by 14 in the second half, en route to the 77-63 victory. Chicago State is scoring 66.1 points per game, while shooting 41.2% from the floor, and 33.3% from deep.
Chicago State is led by a pair of sophomore guards in Wesley Cardet Jr. and Jahsean Corbett. Cardet Jr, a Samford transfer, leads the Cougs in scoring early after a 24-point outing against Valpo with 15.2 ppg. Corbett double-doubled for the third time in the loss to Cleveland State, bringing his numbers to 12.9 ppg, and a team-lead 8.6 rpg. Elijah Weaver (13.3 ppg, 3.3 rpg) brings much needed experience to the lineup, and the senior guard tied his season-high with 19 points against the Vikings.
