Cal vs Oregon State Prediction – Basketball Picks 3/4/23

The California Golden Bears will head up to Corvallis to take on the Oregon State Beavers in Pac-12 play from Gill Coliseum. Cal leads the all-time series, 78-63, but Oregon State has won five of the last seven meetings.

Cal fell to 3-27 after losing to Oregon in Eugene. The Golden Bears were outplayed from the first whistle and suffered another massive defeat, 84-51. Cal is scoring 58.3 points per game, while allowing 70.2 ppg, and shooting 39% from the field.

Cal has dropped fourteen straight games, and the storm is finally approaching its end in Berkeley this winter. The Golden Bears are 2-17 in Pac-12 play, with a 0-11 road record. Leading scorer Devin Askew (15.5) is out for the remainder of the season with hernia surgery, and there’s been little pulse from them offensively.  Leading rebounder Lars Thiemann (9.6 ppg, 5.6 rpg) also missed the loss to Wazzu.
