Cal Poly vs. Pacific Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 11-28-2022

The Cal Poly Mustangs take on the Pacific Tigers at the Alex G. Spanos Center in Stockton, Calif. The Mustangs of the Big West Conference are 2-3 on the season while the Tigers of the West Coast Conference are 2-4 this season. These two teams haven't played since 2013 but Pacific has won 6 of the last 10 head to head matchups. Pacific is favored by 6 points in this one. Can they cover?

The Cal Poly Mustangs of the Big West Conference are off to a 2-3 start this season. After pounding Bethesda in the opener 94-59. But then they dropped three straight, losing 60-48 at San Francisco as a 13.5 point underdog, getting blown out by Stanford 80-43 as a 16 point underdog, and falling to Mount St. Mary's 73-68 at home as a 2.5 point favorite. But they got back in the win column last Wednesday with an 82-71 win over Idaho as an 8 point favorite.

In the win over Idaho, Cal Poly got a great performance out of Alimany Koroma, who had 23 points on 9 for 12 shooting from the floor. Camren Pierce added 15 points and 4 assists with 2 steals while Trevon Taylor chipped in with 11 points and 4 rebounds. Brantly Stevenson added 10 points. Koromoa leads the team with 14 points per game. The Mustangs are ranked No. 277 in the country by KenPom. They are No. 316 in offensive efficiency and No. 220 in defensive efficiency.
