Caesars Expands Existing North Carolina Partnership

Caesars Entertainment formally announced an expected partnership expansion with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians in North Carolina on Tuesday. The move paves the way for Caesars Sportsbook NC to launch in the state on March 11, when North Carolina sports betting apps are permitted to go live.'

Currently, Caesars Sportsbook operates retail sportsbooks at a pair of tribal casinos in the state. The mobile deal expands upon that existing relationship.'

“Our relationship with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians has spanned more than two decades,” Eric Hession, president of Caesars Digital, said in a press release. “Expanding this longstanding partnership allows us to build on the premier sports wagering experience enjoyed at our in-person sportsbooks by bringing a responsible way to enjoy sports at a deeper level to the hands of North Carolinians 21 and older across the state.”

Caesars Sportsbook will launch in the state when North Carolina online sports betting begins March 11, and the operator also formally announced that it will begin accepting signups and deposits from customers on March 1. Operators can offer sign-up bonuses and other North Carolina sports betting promotions to customers beginning March 1.
