A pair of programs from the Ivy League take the floor in search of a victory in the Garden State. The Brown Bears are on the road as they take on the Princeton Tigers Friday night. Brown comes in off an 83-69 home loss to Columbia in their previous contest last Saturday, losing outright as a 4.5-point favorite. Princeton knocked off Penn 77-70 last Saturday at home in their previous contest, though they failed to cover the line as a 10-point favorite. In the all-time series between the teams, the Tigers own a 108-31 advantage and have won the last two meetings. That includes a 70-60 road win in the first meeting this season on February 3.

Brown dropped their second straight and their fourth in the last five games as they were humbled by Columbia at home Saturday. The Bears fell to 6-16 overall and are sixth in the Ivy League with a 2-5 record in conference play. Against Columbia, Brown led 8-2 early, trailed by as many as 10 in the first half and gave up a 7-0 run over the final 2:04 of the half to trail 40-34 at intermission. The Bears trailed by three early in the second half before giving up a 9-0 run to trail by 12. Brown cut the deficit to six before giving up a 12-0 run that left them down 63-45 with 7:02 to play and couldn’t make a sustained push after that. The Bears shot 43.9% from the field, including nine of 24 from three-point range, and allowed Columbia to shoot 54.5% in the contest. Kino Lilly Jr. led Brown with 24 points in the loss.

The Bears enter this game 280th in the nation in scoring offense with 70 points per game. Brown is 97th in the nation in rebounding with 37.3 boards a night and 250th in assists by dishing out 12.5 dimes a night. The Bears knock down an average of 7.5 three-pointers a night while draining only 31.7% of their three-point attempts.
