Boston College was peaking right in the middle of the season, with a five game winning streak that included ACC wins over Virginia, Georgia Tech, and Syracuse. The hot streak came to an end last week, as V-Tech came into town and beat the Eagles by 26. The game was over early, as BC found themselves 31-7 at halftime, and never made the game close again. BC quarterback Thomas Castellanos threw two first quarter interceptions to Dorian Strong, which set the tone for the rest of the game. After the game, BC coach Jeff Hafley said, “We didn’t play like we have for the last six weeks. We got beat up pretty good today.”

Thomas Castellanos is a 5'10 sophomore quarterback, he is 7th in the ACC in passing yards with 1,824 on the year, which works out to 182.4 per game. His TD-INT ratio is 13-9, and his QBR of 64.1 ranks 50th in the nation. He has thrown for under 170 yards in each of the last three games. Lewis Bond has been the top receiver with 50.0 yards per game as a 5'11 sophomore, he also has five touchdowns on the year.

Boston College ranks 8th out of 14 teams in the ACC in scoring with 26.4 points per game, and their defense ranks 12th by allowing 28.5 per game. Linebacker Vinny DePalma leads the team in tackles with 76, and Elijah Jones leads the team in interceptions with five. No player on the defense has more than two sacks on the year.
