Best NHL Shot Parlays Today: Picks, Predictions for Thursday's Gamesiv class=”bodyContent col-lg-9 mb-3″>

It's Thursday night in the NHL and there are 10 games to choose from for our latest NHL shot prop parlay. We've identified four skaters with ideal odds for Thursday's NHL shot prop parlay, based on current NHL odds.

With 20 teams in action, there's no shortage of options for our NHL shot prop parlay. However, we're locked in on three of the hottest shooters in the league right now, and one of the league's all-time greats making a much-anticipated return to the ice.

You'll notice a trend in our NHL shot prop parlays: We target the teams with the most shots on goal allowed per game. For instance, the Arizona Coyotes allow the second-most shots per game and gave up 51 shots on net to the Calgary Flames on Wednesday night.

Here are our NHL shot prop parlay picks for Thursday (odds via BetRivers).

NHL shot parlay predictions

Post All-Star Break, Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl have been on a tear. Just look at their shot charts in their past eight games.

McDavid Draisaitl
Feb. 7 vs. Detroit 3 shots 0 shots
Feb. 9 vs. Philadelphia 5 shots 0 shots
Feb. 11 vs. Ottawa 4 shots 8 shots
Feb. 12 vs. Montreal 7 shots 4 shots
Feb. 15 vs. Detroit 8 shots 4 shots
Feb. 17 vs. N.Y. Rangers 4 shots 3 shots
Feb. 19 vs. Colorado 4 shots 4 shots
Feb. 21 vs. Philadelphia 9 shots 1 shot

While McDavid's Over/Under is at 4.5, Draisaitl's still sits at 2.5. He surpassed that mark in five straight games before Tuesday's matchup with the Philadelphia Flyers.

Thursday's game represents an ideal opportunity for Draisaitl to get back on track. The Edmonton Oilers will be facing a Pittsburgh Penguins club that allows the fourth-most shots allowed per game this year (34.05). He sent four shots at the Pens' net in their prior meeting in October.

For our next leg, we're taking one of the NHL's biggest volume shooters of late. Minnesota Wild center Joel Eriksson Ek had surpassed his shot prop total in seven consecutive games before getting shut out by the stingy Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday night. He's averaging 3.5 shots per game this month.

The friendly Columbus Blue Jackets are next up and they allow the third-most shots per game (34.75).

Wild wingers Mats Zuccarello and Matt Boldy have also been hot of late, but it's a good bet that Eriksson Ek will surpass this shallow number of 2.5 shots against the lowly Jackets.

We're straying from our typical strategy of targeting the opponent to get Mikael Backlund of the Calgary Flames on our card Thursday.

The Flames center has hit the Over on 2.5 shots in seven straight games, and his prop remains at 2.5 with little juice. The opponent is a stiff one, in the Vegas Golden Knights, but Backlund has proven impervious to tough defenses, even getting five shots on the New York Rangers during his tear.

Feb. 9 vs. Detroit 3 shots
Feb. 11 vs. Buffalo 5 shots
Feb. 13 vs. Ottawa 3 shots
Feb. 16 vs. Detroit 5 shots
Feb. 18 vs. N.Y. Rangers 5 shots
Feb. 20 vs. Philadelphia 5 shots
Feb. 22 vs. Arizona 4 shots

Backlund is coming off a four-shot night in just 16 minutes of ice time Wednesday against the Coyotes. He should be well rested for an important Pacific Division clash Thursday.

The final leg of our parlay is contingent on if he actually plays Thursday night. But if Alexander Ovechkin returns to the lineup for the first time since the death of his father, he'll be facing the team that gives up the most shots on net per game in the Anaheim Ducks.

If a motivated Ovi is going to be on the ice, we want in on the action. To hit the Over, he'll have to put five shots on net, but that's not out of the ordinary for the Great 8. He's reached that mark six times since January and will be given plenty of license to shoot on Thursday. Expect his teammates to look his way early and often.

NHL shot parlay odds

DraftKings BetRivers PointsBet Bet365
+660 +676?? +575?? +646

There's a marginal discrepancy, but BetRivers has a better payout than DraftKings for our NHL shot prop parlay. Ovechkin's odds are at -130 at DraftKings and Backlund's is at -135.

If Ovechkin won't play Thursday, the odds drop to +344 for our three-leg parlay.
