NBA Player Props Predictions 1: Jalen Brunson, Knicks 32.5 Points (-120) DK
New York Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson is averaging 27.3 points per game on 48.1% shooting from the field, but he has only eclipsed this point total in 11 of 48 games for a 77% success rate to the under.
The line is high due to Julius Randle, OG Anunoby and Quentin Grimes already being ruled out for tonight’s contest and Brunson scoring 36 & 40 in his last two games.
However, the Memphis Grizzlies have allowed the 4th fewest points to opposing point guards during the last 30 days with no point guards scoring 30+ points since Desmond Bane went down with an injury.
During that time period, the Grizz have held Steph Curry (twice), Anthony Edwards, De’Aaron Fox and Donovan Mitchell under 30 points.
Brunson has also only cleared this mark twice in 30 games against top-20 defenses. The spread for this contest is 14.5 so there is a high likelihood for a blowout that could easily limit Brunson’s minutes.
We have seen multiple elite guards with similar usage to Brunson fall short of this line against Memphis and I’m banking on Brunson falling short of 30 tonight.
NBA Player Props Predictions 2: Rudy Gobert, Timberwolves 13.5 Rebounds (-110) DK
Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert ranks 2nd in the NBA with 12.5 rebounds per game on a league leading 21.8 rebound chances per game.
Gobert has only recorded 14+ rebounds in 16 of 49 games for a 33% success rate to the over. However, he has cleared this mark in 8 of his last 15 games and he’s absolutely dominated Chicago Bulls center Nikola Vucevic.
Gobert has recorded 13+ rebounds in 12 consecutive games against Vuc with an insane average of 16.6 rebounds per game.
Since Vucevic joined the Bulls, Gobert has tallied 19, 20, 19 and 13 rebounds against him. The Bulls have surrendered ridiculous rebounding totals to opposing centers this season including 16 to Nikola Jokic, 17 Jarrett Allen, 20 Victor Wembanyama and 20 to Isaiah Hartenstein.
Gobert should absolutely feast in the paint against Vucevic as he has in the past and should also see full minutes with a spread of only 5. Give me the over despite the high number of 13.5.
