NBA Player Props Predictions 1: Trae Young, Hawks 24.5 Points (-110) DK
Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young is averaging 26.7 points per game on 42.7% shooting from the field while recording 25+ points in 27 of 50 games for a 54% success rate.
Young has dominated the Toronto Raptors with 29+ points in five straight head-to-head games including 30+ points in all three games this season.
He has taken 24+ field goal attempts in ALL of those games which is key as he’s cleared this mark in 19 of 20 games with 20+ shot attempts.
The Hawks enter this game as 7-point favorites and Young will be well rested while the Raptors starters all played 29-32 minutes just last night north of the border.
Toronto ranks bottom-5 in defensive efficiency since trading away OG Anunoby while ranking top-half in pace with the game total sitting at 246.
The Hawks currently control the final play-in spot, and the Raptors are one of the teams nipping at their heels.
Look for an aggressive Young to be firing away 20+ shots which translates into 25+ points against a defense that he’s had success against in the past.
NBA Player Props Predictions 2: Immanuel Quickley,' Raptors 18.5 Points (-110) DK
Toronto Raptors point guard Immanuel Quickley is averaging 15.6 points on 43.2% shooting from the field while scoring 19+ points in only 18 of 51 games for a 65% success rate to the under.
Quickley is the ultimate fade in back-to-back situations as he’s fallen short of this mark in 9 of 10 games this season and 19 of 22 games over the last two seasons.
In 22 back-to-backs, he’s maxed out with 25 points (twice) and 20 points. The Atlanta Hawks aren’t necessarily known for their defense, but they have held Quickley under 19 points in 5 of 6 games during the last two seasons (11.6 avg) while allowing him to just sneak by with 20 points in their last game.
NONE of those games were back-to-back situations. The Atlanta defense has the benefit of a rest advantage as they are one of six teams that hasn’t played since the All-Star game.
They are also playing at home and the Raps has to travel after a home game in Toronto last night. Quickley has failed to eclipse this total in 11 of his last 15 games in general and now he’s dealing with a dreaded back-to-back against an opponent that has shut him down defensively.
