Bears, Jets Quarterback Indecision Is Affecting Odds

Wilson To Sit Sunday & Questions Remain on Health of Bears Justin Fields

 

The Bears and Jets meet Sunday at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, but as of Tuesday, neither team was sure who will start at quarterback. Wednesday, word out of Jets camp was that Zach Wilson will not be their starter under center Sunday.

As Mitch Moss and Pauly Howard discussed on VSiN’s “Follow the Money,” Tuesday, both teams' quarterback decisions have oddsmakers waiting and bettors guessing. At DraftKings, the odds moved a number of times Monday.  As of Tuesday evening, the Jets were 4.5 point home favorites with the total set at 39.5.  Monday, the spread moved from -4 to -6, then back to -4.5 at DraftKings. Following the news that Wilsonwon't start for the Jets, DraftKings line was Jets -5 and the total was raised to 40.5 meaning oddsmakers believe the Jets will be better with Wilson sitting out.
