The #12 Auburn Tigers are on the road as they travel to take on the Florida Gators Saturday afternoon. Auburn took down #16 Alabama 99-81 at home Wednesday night in their previous contest, covering the line as a six-point favorite. Florida was edged 67-66 on the road by Texas A&M last Saturday in their previous contest, though they did cover the line as a four-point underdog. In the all-time series between the teams, the Gators own a 64-62 advantage though the Tigers earned a 61-58 home win in the most recent meeting on December 28, 2022.

Auburn earned their third straight win as they took down #16 Alabama at home Wednesday night in a battle of schools from the Yellowhammer State. The Tigers improved to 19-4 overall and stand tied for the top spot in the SEC with an 8-2 mark, leaving them even with South Carolina and Alabama. Against Alabama, Auburn trailed by four early in the first half, rallied to lead by 13, saw Alabama tie the game and then finished the first half on an 18-4 run to take a 55-41 edge at the half. The Tigers didn’t let the Crimson Tide closer than 11 in the second half as they held them at bay. Auburn shot 42.2% from the field, including five of 19 from three-point range, and knocked down a school-record 40 free throws in 50 attempts in the game. Jaylin Williams led the Tigers with 26 points and six rebounds in the win.

The Tigers come into this contest 20th in the nation in scoring offense as they put up an average of 83.1 points per game on the year. Auburn pulls down an average of 39.3 rebounds per contest (43rd) while they are 9th by dishing out an average of 18.1 assists per game. The Tigers are above average defensively as they are 49th in scoring defense by allowing an average of 66.5 points a night. Johni Broome leads the Tigers offensively and is one of two players averaging in double figures as he puts up 16 points and 8.7 rebounds per game this season. Aden Holloway (nine points, 3.1 assists), Denver Jones, Chad Baker-Mazara and Jaylin Williams (13.3 points, 5.2 boards) are solid secondary offensive weapons. K.D. Johnson, Tre Donaldson, Dylan Cardwell, Chaney Johnson and Chris Moore are all looked at to contribute for coach Bruce Pearl. Auburn shoots 46.5% from the field as a team on the season. The Tigers knock down an average of 7.9 three-pointers a night while shooting 33.3% from beyond the arc on the year. Auburn has been above average at the charity stripe as they convert 76.6% of their attempts on the season, which is 26th in the country.
