Thursday Betting Recaps

Thursday’s sports betting menu was overshadowed in the news by the NBA draft, especially with a short 8-game MLB card.

As we’ve been seeing all week, most of the baseball streaks continued to get extended with the notable exception of the San Francisco Giants having their 10-game winning streak snapped.

Let’s get to the details with our daily recaps, plus also update the season-long betting stats, including the USFL as it heads to its playoffs this weekend.

MLB: As mentioned above, most big streaks continued Thursday with the Braves (+106 at the Phillies) winning their 8th straight game, the Pirates (+145 at Marlins) losing their 10th straight and the A's (+152 at Guardians) losing their 8th in a row. The Reds (11 straight wins) and Rockies (8 straight losses) were idle. BUT the Giants (+125 vs. the Padres) had their 10-game win streak snapped in a 10-0 blowout.

More MLB: Faves went 5-2 with the Mariners-Yankees game closing pick-'em. The upsets were by the Royals (+275 in 6-5 win at the Rays) and the Braves (+106 in 5-1, 10-inning win at the Phillies). Road teams led 5-3. Over/Unders split 4-4. On the season, faves lead 647-458 with 18 PKs. Home teams lead 588-533 with 2 neutral-site games. Unders lead 544-536-42 with 1 no-action.
