Sunday Betting Recaps

Despite wrapping up the first weekend of the summer, Sunday was another action-packed day as we had baseball (pro and college), WNBA, soccer, golf, auto racing, etc.

For our purposes here, we’re going to stick with the full slate of 15 MLB games and the College World Series Championship Series and the USFL playoffs.

Let’s get the details with our daily recaps, plus also update the season-long betting stats, including the USFL with its playoffs continuing on Sunday.

MLB: Faves/dogs split 7-7 on Sunday with the Brewers-Guardians closing pick-'em. The biggest upsets were by the Nationals (+175 in 8-3 win at Padres), Rockies (+139 in 4-3 win vs. Angels), Cardinals (+135 in 7-5 win vs. Cubs in London) and Diamondbacks (+130 in 5-2 win at Giants). Home teams went 8-6 on the day (Cubs-Cardinals played on neutral field in London). Overs led 7-6-2 with the pushes in CHC-STL (12) and TEX-NYY (8).

More MLB: On the season, favorites lead 672-476 with 19 games closing pick-'em. Home teams lead 612-551 with 4 neutral-site games after Sunday's Cubs-Cardinals game in London. Unders still hold on to a slim lead at 564-556-46 with 1 no-action.
