To kick off Memorial Day Weekend, there were no NBA or NHL playoff games on Friday but we did have a full 15-game MLB card.

Let’s get to the specific details with our nightly betting recaps, and then provide the playoff betting stats for the NBA and NHL with one elimination game apiece on Saturday.

MLB: Favorites went 8-7 on Friday with the biggest upsets by the Pirates (+140 at Mariners), Phillies (+135 at Braves), Reds (+130 at Cubs) and Giants (+128 at Brewers). Road teams dominated 13-2 while Overs led 8-6-1 with the push in the Phillies-Braves game with a total of 10 runs. Faves are 443-317 on the season with 9 pick-'ems. Home teams lead 405-362 with 2 neutral sites. Overs lead 376-363-29 with 1 no-action.

NBA (ICYMI): With the Celtics covering in their Game 5 road win on Thursday, underdogs dipped to 6-3 SU and 8-1 ATS in the conference championship round, though faves still lead 50-26 SU and 41-34-1 ATS (54.7%) overall in the playoffs with 1 game closing pick-’em. Road teams lead 5-4 SU and 7-2 ATS in this round, but home teams lead 48-29 SU and 42-34-1 ATS (55.3%). Overs dipped to 5-4 this round and still lead 39-36-2 (53.4%) overall. The zig-zag dipped to 3-4 ATS this round and 33-29-1 ATS (53.2%).
