If you are a believer in momentum, the Philadelphia Phillies would seemingly have all of it after a resounding shutout win over the Houston Astros last night in Game 3 of the World Series.
Thanks to five home runs by five different hitters and outstanding work by starting pitcher Ranger Suarez and the bullpen, the Phillies strolled to a 7-0 win and a 2-1 series lead last night at Citizens Bank Park.
With a win tonight, the Phillies would have a chance to clinch a World Series title tomorrow night in front of their home fans.
But there is plenty of baseball potentially left, and just like they bounced back after a gut punch of a Game 1 loss, Houston is certainly capable of a big response tonight to ensure that the series will return to Minute Maid Park for at least a Game 6.
