Arkansas State vs. Louisiana Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 10-22-2022

Louisiana snapped their losing streak in their last game and host an Arkansas State team that has lost two in a row.

Arkansas State is 2-5 and 1-2 in Sun Belt play and they have only beaten one FBS team. They are winless on the road this season and in their last nine road games facing Louisiana they are 2-6-1 ATS.

Louisiana had lost three in a row before a win in their last game. They are also1-2 in Sun Belt play and while they have a less than dynamic offense, they have a good defense that is only giving up an average of 19.2 ppg. The Ragin Cajuns head into this game as a 6.5-point favorite with the total sitting at 51.5.

In their last game Arkansas State was on the road and lost to Southern Miss 20-19 where they had a 19-7 lead after the third quarter but were outscored 14-0 in the fourth quarter. While they forced two turnovers and did not commit one the Red Wolves were outgained 345 yards to 286 yards, only rushed for 50 yards while giving up 168 rushing yards and committed 11 penalties. They did cover the spread as a 4.5-point underdog and they have covered the spread in their last six road games.
