The Anaheim Ducks face the Ottawa Senators with both teams looking to improve on rough seasons. The Ducks have an 18-32-2 record and with two losses in a row, they have the second-worst record in the Pacific Division. The Senators have a 22-25-2 record and are in last place in the Atlantic Division but have won four games in a row. Both teams look to climb out of the bottom of their divisions and the upcoming game should be a good one.

The Ducks are having a season to forget with their offense letting struggling and scoring only 2.52 goals per game. Frank Vatrano and Troy Terry have scored 37 goals and 38 assists but the rest of the offense has been awful. Only four skaters have nine goals or more and opponents can eliminate the hapless offense with ease.

The offense has struggled but the defense has let the Ducks down, allowing 3.46 goals per game including 10 goals in the last two games. Urho Vaakanainen and Radko Gudas have combined for 5.4 defensive point shares but the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to generate shots on the net with ease. Additionally, goaltender John Gibson has struggled with a .901 save percentage and a 3.04 goals-against average on 941 shots with -2.8 goals saved above average.
