The offense has struggled but the defense has let the Ducks down, allowing 3.43 goals per game including seven goals in their last two games. Radko Gudas and Urho Vaakanainen have combined for 5.3 defensive point shares but the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net with ease. In addition, goaltender John Gibson has struggled with a .901 save percentage and a 3.04 goals-against average on 941 shots with -2.7 goals saved above average.
