Amon-Ra St. Brown projections 2022: Fantasy stats, betting odds, Detroit Lions player profile, season outlook, simulations

The late season breakout rookie Amon-Ra St. Brown had in 2021 for the pitiful Lions was truly unprecedented. After only 39 receptions on 52 targets through his first ten games, St. Brown finished in a flurry with 51 catches on 67 targets in his final six games. He also scored five touchdowns between Weeks 13 and 18 and pretty much was Cooper Kupp on a non-playoff contending team. Quite simply, he was a fantasy league winner for those managers savvy enough to pick up and start him in thei r fantasy playoff matchups.

The path to targets in Detroit gets harder in 2022 with the Lions additions of veteran receiver D.J. Chark and rookie first round pick Jameson Williams, not to mention a healthy DeAndre Swift and T.J. Hockenson. It also doesn't help the second year pro that Jared Goff, generally regarded as a marginal signal caller, is his quarterback.

While another 90 catch season is in doubt, 80+ receptions and 1,000 yards can't be fully disregarded for the former USC standout. Another season of five touchdowns seems reasonable, just don't expect them to come within a six game stretch this time. He should be worthy of being at worst a WR3 in all fantasy formats to begin the season.
