Alabama at LSU 11/5/22 – College Football Picks & Predictions

SEC Conference rivals will square off on Saturday night, when the Alabama Crimson Tide travel to Death Valley to face the LSU Tigers. The sixth-ranked Crimson Tide (7-1) suffered a 52-49 loss at Tennessee and still control their own destiny to reach the conference championship game. Last time out, Alabama held Mississippi State scoreless for the first three quarters of a 30-6 home victory.

Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young threw for 249 yards and put Alabama on the scoreboard first with a 31-yard touchdown pass to JoJo Earle. Jahmyr Gibbs contributed a 19-yard touchdown run and Will Reichard nailed three field goals for the Crimson Tide.

The LSU Tigers started the season off with a one-point loss against Florida State and have rebounded to win four out of five conference games for first-year head coach Brian Kelly. Last time out, LSU outscored Ole Miss by 28 points during the second half of a 45-20 home victory. The Tigers (6-2) put forth an incredibly balanced offensive attack (500 yards) and possessed the ball for more than 36 minutes.

LSU QB Jayden Daniels completed 21 of 28 passes for 248 yards and two touchdowns. Daniels also added a team-high 121 rushing yards and three scores. Jaray Jenkins caught a 34-yard touchdown pass and Josh Williams capped the scoring on a 1-yard touchdown plunge for the Tigers.
