Akron vs. Marshall Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 11-30-2022

The Marshall Thundering Herd (5-1) will host the Akron Zips (3-3) on Wednesday night in non-conference action. Last season these teams played, and Akron won 88-86 as a 2.5-point home underdog.

Akron has a 1-5 record against the spread and on the over/under. After starting 3-1 straight up, they are now on a two-game losing streak after falling to LSU 73-58 and Nevada 62-58 at the Cayman Islands Classic.

Xavier Castaneda leads the team with 20.3 ppg, followed by Enrique Freeman with 13.2 ppg and 10 rebounds. Trendon Hankerson is a distant third on the team averaging 6.8 ppg.

 

The Zips are 66th in the country in the strength of schedule. They have beaten South Dakota State 81-80, Morgan State 65-59, and Western Kentucky 73-53 and also lost to Mississippi State 73-54.
