North Dakota at Iowa State – 11/30/22 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The North Dakota Fighting Hawks and Iowa State State Cyclones face off on Wednesday in a college basketball showdown at the Hilton Coliseum. When these two teams faced off in 2009 it was Iowa State that secured the 83-52 victory. 

North Dakota comes into this game with a 5-3 record and they have gone 4-3 against the spread. In the last game against Cal State Fullerton, North Dakota scored 73 points, but even more impressive was the defense that gave up only 57 points. The Fighting Irish are averaging 71.1 points while their defense is giving up 71.3 points per game. The offense has been fine, but the defense has been an issue, and is going to need to be improved upon here. Forward B.J. Omot has been the top player for North Dakota averaging 12.6 points while shooting 42.5 percent from the field and 27.6 percent from behind the three-point line. 

On the other side of this matchup is Iowa State who sits with a 5-1 record and they have gone 4-2 against the spread. In the last game against UConn the offense only managed 53 points, and that led to the loss. Iowa State does have big wins over North Carolina and Villanova. Iowa State is averaging 73.3 points while their defense is giving up 58.3 points per game. The defense is ranked 25th in the league and the defense is going to need to be strong here. Guard Jaren Holmes has been the top player for Iowa State averaging 16.7 points while shooting 41.1 percent from the field.
