The PGA Tour heads south for the RBC Heritage at'Harbour Town Golf Course'in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, about two hours away from Augusta National. A golfer’s dream, Hilton Head Island is home to Harbour Town, one of the TOUR’s most picturesque and stunning courses.
132 golfers are in the field this week, many of which are elite, which is staggering given it’s a week after a major.' The RBC Heritage may have had the strongest field ever last year, but the competition will advance even further in 2023. The competition this week is yet another designated event, thus the prize pool is $20 million which is why the are sharks circling, in part.
With the exception of Rory McIlroy, Hideki Matsuyama, Jason Day, and Will Zalatoris, who declared on Monday that he will miss the remainder of the 2022-2023 PGA Tour season, all the top names in golf (fewer LIV-defectors) are there.
